Vega D-Mille Ltd photography Workshop / Courses aim to help Photography enthusiasts or learners or want to be professionals around the world explore their creative skills through the world of the visual. With a large variety of topics and subjects our students learn about equipment, light, composition and how to make the most of their cameras. The main purpose is that students develop confidence in using the camera and unleash their imagination learning through theoretical and practical sessions. Our sessions are attractive and interesting experiences and the testimonials from our former students are a live proof. Our courses consist of small groups so that each learner of Vega D-Mille receives sufficient individual attention. We also provide corporate training for those businesses who are interested to get our trainers a in-house training experience for team building or even for fun.
Photography Workshop / Course for Beginners in Mauritius and Africa
Duration: 2 Days – Location [outdoor - indoor or target Locations] with Live Experience
Digital Photography Workshop / Course for Beginners is a 2 day course with 50% theory and 50% practice, exercises, practical examples, impromptu demonstrations, outdoor shooting to try different effects and the opportunity to discuss and ask questions after each topic.
Vega D-Mille Photography Workshop / Course is suited for those who wish to understand and use digital cameras in a very effective manner. Both digital SLR (single lens reflex – cameras with interchangeable lenses) and compact cameras are covered but with emphasis on Digital SLR. The course is for beginners, for those willing to take a refresher course in the basics of digital photography and digital cameras or for those going on holiday who want better results. If you don’t have a DSLR camera yet but still want to attend the course you can use one of our spare semi-professional DSLRs for the duration of the course. Please let us know if you wish to use one of our cameras.
The Workshop / Course has been designed by Vega D-Mille with the experience of 30+ years in Photography and more than 500 trainings done in different countries. This Workshop / Course was entirely designed with a good logical structure covering all key aspects in digital photography and a good balance between theoretical explanations, demonstrations and practical examples.
Following the course Vega D-Mille Photographers will be happy to help and assist with any further questions you may have (unlimited follow-up email and telephone advice). You will learn about the principles of photography, the digital camera kit (body, lenses + maintenance) and the functions of the camera – aperture, shutter speed, depth of field, exposure, and focus. You will also learn about composition, flash, file formats and basic alterations and effects with free software.
What Vega D-Mille expect you be knowing by the end of this course :
Make use of the advanced shooting modes (especially manual mode) on your camera
Take correctly exposed photographs in different situations (people, cityscape, landscape, etc.)
Begin to use shutter speed, aperture and depth of field creatively
Begin to obtaining different effects
Use the flash effectively
Begin to think about combining elements and composing a photograph
Make informed decisions about resolution, file sizes and formats
For all courses / workshops you will need a Digital Camera a DSLR or a Pro Compact Camera with Fully Manual Exposure Mode. If you are not sure about your camera’s capabilities please contact Vega D-Mille to discuss about this. If you haven’t got a camera yet but still want to attend the course you can borrow one of our spare semi-professional DSLRs + lenses + flashgun + tripod for the duration of the course. If you are planning to buy a new camera, Vega D-Mille can offer advice on what camera and lenses to buy according to your budget and the photography style you wish to pursue.
