Fleet Management System Entarus™ is used by any organization that must perform maintenance on vehicles and other pieces of equipment. It maintains a database of information about an organization’s maintenance operations. This information is intended to help maintenance workers do their jobs more effectively and to help management make informed decisions. The information may also be useful when dealing with third parties; if, for example, an organization is involved in a liability case, the data in Entarus™ can serve as evidence that proper safety maintenance has been performed.
The key functional areas are:
Work orders: Recording labor and part costs, and tracking relevant information such as the cause of the problem, downtime involved, and recommendations for future action.
Preventive maintenance (PM): Keeping track of PM inspections and tasks, including step-by-step instructions or checklists, lists of materials required, and other pertinent details. Entarus™ schedules PM tasks automatically based on meter readings and/or calendar schedules.
Asset management: Recording data about equipment and property including specifications, purchase date, and anything else that might be of help to management or maintenance workers.
VMRS 2000™
Entarus™ uses the VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards) 2000™ structured coding system. VMRS 2000™ allows fleets to improve the consistency and quality of their maintenance data. It provides a foundation for fleets to conduct internal trend analysis and benchmark their maintenance operation with other fleets utilizing VMRS.
VMRS establishes a universal reporting convention for industries that utilize all types of cars, trucks, and other equipment as well as standardizes the data records and reports related to the activities associated with their unique maintenance operation.
